To achieve a perfect impression of your bookplate, it’s essential to follow a few simple steps, starting with inking.

1. Proper inking
   The ink pad should be applied to the stamp, not the other way around, as one might instinctively do. Hold the stamp with the engraving facing upwards and tap the ink pad gently onto the engraved surface. This method ensures an even ink distribution and prevents uneven inking.
2. Precise stamping
   Make sure the sheet is placed on a flat surface. Then, apply the stamp with normal and even pressure, without forcing, to avoid smudges.

Bonus tip: Before stamping on your final medium, practice on a used sheet to master the technique.

By taking the time for careful inking and stamping, you will achieve clear impressions, true to the details of your bookplate, each time you use it.

To extend the life of your bookplate:

1. After each use we recommend taking a piece of paper and stamping the bookplate until no more ink remains.
2. Then, you can store it in the cloth pouch that comes with the stamp. This way, it will be protected from dust and the engraving quality will be preserved.

We offer two types of bookplates:

• Standard Bookplate: Choose a design from our existing models and simply add your name, surname, or initials.
• Custom Bookplate: A unique creation, specially designed for you, based on inspirations you share (drawings, images, ideas).

3. Once your order is placed, your bookplate will be crafted in 5 days (excluding weekends and holidays). Add the delivery time, which varies depending on your country of residence.

2. Receive a proposal: A first draft will be sent to you within 15 days (standard option) or 2 working days (express option).
3. Make adjustments: You’re entitled to two revisions to fine-tune the design, with a maximum of three different versions.
4. Validation and creation: Once validated, the bookplate will be made and shipped promptly. Add shipping times, which vary depending on your country of residence.

Everything is carefully packed in a cardboard box, along with any other products you ordered.

The ink pads available as an option with the bookplates are from VersaFine, known for the quality of their inking. These ink pads provide excellent detail definition, making them perfect for fine engravings like those on bookplates.

You can check the available colors on this page dedicated to ink pads. If you select this option during checkout, the ink pad will be included with your bookplate in your order.

The total time depends on the nature of your order and your location.

Preparation

• Standard Bookplates are prepared within 5 days (excluding weekends and holidays).
• For Custom Bookplates, the production time depends on the option chosen: between 7 business days for the express option and up to 30 days for the standard option.

Shipping

• Deliveries in Spain generally take 3 to 5 business days.
• International deliveries can take between 7 and 16 days, depending on the destination country.

Personalized products, such as bookplates, are not eligible for return, except in case of defect. For other items, returns are possible within 14 days after receipt, according to our Refund policy.

The gift card allows the recipient to design their own bookplate, whether a standard or custom model. It covers the price of a bookplate, an ink pad, and standard shipping costs, based on the rates in effect at the time of purchase.

1. Receiving the code
   Once payment is completed, you’ll automatically receive a confirmation email for your order. Since the gift card code is manually generated, a second email with the code will be sent to you within 24 hours.
2. Usage
   The code is entered directly at checkout, and its amount is automatically deducted from the total order.
3. Validity
   The gift card has no expiration date. However, as website prices may be revised at the beginning of the year, it is recommended to use the card within the year of purchase.

The price difference is because the value of the gift card includes provision for shipping costs. This allows the recipient to order and receive their bookplate without additional costs, making the shopping experience smooth and surprise-free.

Our bookplates are handmade in our workshop in Barcelona, using photogravure techniques to ensure optimal quality. Each piece is unique and protected by European copyright laws.

We use photopolymer for the engraving and wood for the handle, two durable materials that ensure a clean impression and long lifespan.
